Chris Bui joined the team last March as an estimating assistant.
Why did you get into the business?
An opportunity arose when I spoke with Bryson, CCi President, over the phone. I decided to take a chance in the construction industry and explore a possible new career option, learning from estimators and project managers.
How long have you been in the business?
I’ve been in the industry for about a year now.
What attracted you to City Constructors and what do you like about your position?
I was attracted to learning about the history of LA. I get to walk on-site in historic buildings in Downtown that have been uninhabited for quite some years. My favorite part of this job is learning how to read architecture drawings.
Where did you go to school?
I went to college at Moorpark College and studied music.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
My friends and I like to throw house shows on the weekends with local bands to party and build a community of artists/friends. We all work full-time jobs, so it’s fun to let loose and not take anything too seriously.
What is your favorite restaurant?
I think Tatsu Ramen is my favorite because I associate having dates there.
