Why did you get into the business?
I’ve been interested in construction for as long as I can remember however only recently made the official career shift. Since moving to Los Angeles 6 years ago and landing in an apartment on Main Street DTLA, I have been fascinated with the fall from grace and recent resurgence the downtown LA area has been experiencing. It helped me make the decision to get into the business and begin shifting study and work towards making the transition.
How long have you been in the business?
I have been in the business for two years.
What attracted you to City Constructors and what do you like about your position?
Projects, people and culture. CCI’s long history of adaptive reuse in the DTLA area was really appealing, having watched the neighborhood transform first hand. The culture and people that surround CCI are welcoming and this is also true for the trust and confidence they allow me on the job.
Where did you go to school?
I attended Monash University, in Melbourne Australia.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
I find the more effort I put in on the weekends the more rewarding LA is. With a new six month old at home, my weekends have been focused around her, however when I get the chance, camping, dual sport riding, surfing or making the trek to the mountains in winter, if snow permits, are all top of the list for me.
What is your favorite restaurant?
For a great meal and atmosphere, Osteria La Buca on Melrose Ave has never let me down.
